About Registered Users

If you are experienced with Galaxy Games Online and would like your own personalised account, then you can register your username on the GGO servers. When you register your username, no-one can login to the GGO server with your username, without supplying the proper password.

New Accounts

To set up a new account, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you have GGO v1.01 or later.
  2. Connect to the game server like normal.
  3. Go into the "Options" dialog.
  4. Select the "Registered Users" item in the settings list.
  5. Click on "New Account".
  6. Follow the instructions on the registration form.
  7. Click on "Apply".

When you submit your registration form by clicking "Apply", please wait a few moments. A message box should soon pop up saying that you have sucessfully registered, and it will have your new username and random password. After that, it will take you back to the Options dialog, and your username and password will be automatically entered in.

To login for the first time, make sure that "Use a registered username" is selected, click on Save, and then click on "Connect" again (to relogin into the game server). You should connect successfully. Once logged in, we recommend changing your password (detailed later in this document).

Changing Your Password

Once logged in with your account, you can change your password by following these steps:

  1. Make sure you are connected to the game server.
  2. Go into the "Options" dialog.
  3. Select the "Registered Users" item in the settings list.
  4. Click on "Change Password".
  5. Follow the instructions and select "Apply".

When you submit your password change by selecting "Apply", you should recieve a message box in a few moments saying that your password change was successful. We recommend logging in with your new password soon after it is changed.

Editing Your Profile

Your profile is your registered user profile. All of the information here is kept very securely, and encrypted to prevent unauthorised access. It will also never be used for spam and yicky stuff like that. To edit your profile, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure you are connected to the game server.
  2. Go into the "Options" dialog.
  3. Select the "Registered Users" item in the settings list.
  4. Click on "Your Profile".
  5. Follow the instructions and select "Apply" if you wish to save your profile.

Lost Your Password?

If you have lost your password, unfortunately there is no automatic and/or instant way to retrieve your password. To retrieve your password, send an e-mail to reg@jevon.org, with a subject line of "Lost Password", and in the e-mail body, describe your username, full name, city, country, and e-mail address (as entered in your profile), and we will generate your account a new password. We will send your new password information to the e-mail address on your profile account.

It is due to this that we implore you to keep your profile up-to-date.
